Valori’s Story

It wasn't until experiencing pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding with my second daughter did I realize I was made for supporting people in their lactation and postpartum journeys.

I had my oldest daughter just weeks after turning 17. With that came a myriad of issues; the trauma of being alone, difficulty and major pain when breastfeeding, a baby labeled ‘failure to thrive’ due to weight gain issues, and ultimately - postpartum depression.

When my husband and I decided to add another baby into our family, I knew I didn’t want my breastfeeding and postpartum experience to look and feel like it did the first time. So, I started educating myself on every imaginable topic in the postpartum and breastfeeding world.  All my prep work, having an amazing support system, and knowing when to ask for help gave me such a wonderful experience. I went on to breastfeed my youngest for 14 months and had zero signs of postpartum depression. It was when we started weaning, I decided to completely shift my career path. I obtained my Lactation Educator and Postpartum Doula Certificates and have plans to become an IBCLC. My passion is educating and I feel so fulfilled when I can guide new parents to reach their goals!
