Insurance Information
Let us take the guess-work out of navigating your insurance.
Scroll down and we’ll walk you through which insurance we accept and how to use your insurance to cover your appointment.
Insurance Accepted
Under the Affordable Care Act, many health plans are required to provide comprehensive lactation support and counseling as a preventive service. However, implementation varies by insurer, plan, and state policies.
At this time, the San Diego Breastfeeding Center accepts and bills for the following insurances:
Aetna PPO/POS/EPO
Anthem PPO
Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO
Cigna PPO
Healthnet PPO
UnitedHealthcare PPO
UCSD Managed Care
If you have a PPO with another carrier, or an HMO not on this list, you'll likely pay upfront and use a superbill for reimbursement.
