New Parent ErgoMOMics: Back Pain & Neck Pain & Wrist Pain, Oh MY!

  • San Diego Breastfeeding Center 8325 University Avenue La Mesa, CA, 91942 United States (map)

Being a parent does NOT mean your body has to fall apart.  The repetitive stresses of caring for a baby are impossible to avoid. They depend on you for their nourishment, their transportation, everything!  This can be a shock to the system whether you are "in shape" or not. Add the lack of sleep and recovering from giving birth, and it creates a perfect storm for chronic aches, pains, and injuries to develop. You may tell yourself, "I'll take care of it later", a little spoiler alert... they just get heavier!!!  Now is the time to learn good habits when it comes to caring for yourself and your family.

This 90 minute workshop will cover:

  • Preventative measures to avoid or minimize the most common new parent aches and pains.

  • Self-care exercises to manage issues as they arise.

  • How your baby gear can help you (or hurt you if not used properly).

  • Practical & easily applicable exercises to integrate into your daily routine so you can use your daily activities of parenting to be a source of strength instead of breakdown.

This workshop is a total game-changer. Whether this is your first or third baby, you will leave this workshop feeling energized and inspired. Taught by Robin Naughton of Breathe Fitness

Fee: $40 - partners come free, babies always welcome!
