Mahea Buckler completed her Lactation Consultant program through the University of California San Diego and is awaiting the IBLCE board exam in October 2018. A Registered Nurse experienced in NICU and postpartum units prior to pursuing her career in lactation, Mahea has long enjoyed finding ways to educate, comfort and empower both mother and infant. Following her own personal breastfeeding challenges, Mahea quickly developed a refined passion for helping others in the field of lactation.
Mahea has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. In her spare time, Mahea enjoying hiking, skiing, swimming and taking advantage of all the outdoors has to offer. Mahea lives in San Diego with her husband and their two children.
I am deeply passionate about advocating for and assisting mothers during their breastfeeding journey. I fully recognize that everyone’s journey is unique. As a mother who experienced many challenges throughout my own breastfeeding journey, I hope to use my knowledge and experience to assist you in writing your own story and reaching your personal infant feeding goals. I love finding ways to make a difference for others in what can sometimes be challenging times and I look forward to supporting you and your family through this wonderful experience together!
