Last week I had the esteemed pleasure of interviewing Kimberly Seals Allers, of MochaManual.com, about her article Dear White Women: Beyonce is OUR Breastfeeding Moment. Please Step Aside and why Beyonce nursing in public is so significant for the African American community. She not only described how Beyonce's star quality had the potential to propel breastfeeding rates in the African American community, but she also shared how we, as a community, can help support these breastfeeding mothers.
On March 15, 2012, Kimberly is launching Black Breastfeeding 360°, an online content library for media professionals to get everything they need to know on the full spectrum of the black breastfeeding experience. It is also a place for women, mothers, and fathers to learn, share and hear the breastfeeding experiences of others.
Congratulations to Kimberly for all of her hard work and passion to support breastfeeding mothers in the African American communities! Please follow this link to read my full article: Why Beyonce Nursing in Public is So Significant.
